One of the areas where there are many almond trees. that are now exactly at the end of February - blooming pick. is the Modi'in area and the nearby Ayalon Valley. A very fertile area where there was an ancient settlement. and therefore a lot of almond trees were planted. there whose colorful blossoms can be seen in a short drive and nowadays devote trips to the Modiin area.

Givat Hatitura in Modi'in
This hill is a very important archeological site and a settlement was discovered in it for thousands of years. Many water cisterns, agricultural facilities such as cisterns were discovered on the hill. The hill is large and in its center are the remains of a citadel that overlooks the lowlands and the coastal plain in the west and the Judean Mountains in the east. Along the route and at the foot of Givat Hatitura there are huge almond trees. which are now blooming even more strongly. You can see huge concentrations of white blooms. which depend on the almonds and visibility in the distance.
If you get close to them you can see a lot of beautiful and small white flowers hanging on branches and creating a kind of endless flower bouquet.
Right at the entrance to the hill you will already see to your left a huge almond tree and then at the foot and along the hill full of almond trees scattered in space.

The House of Arches
The second point, which is about a 20-minute drive away, is right next to the settlement of Mevo Horon – a beautiful and special settlement located right on the border between the Judean plains and the Jerusalem mountains. If you exit from the southern exit of the city of Modiin, drive the entire time on Sderot Hashmonaim until you exit the city and reach the square. Turn left here after a short drive and you will see an entire orchard of almonds on your left. The thing is that they don't always bloom. whereas in the arched house they precede them.
At this point, turn right and drive on a dirt road for about 1.8 km. Until you reach the Pool of the Arches, also known as the "House of the Arches". It is an ancient Roman building. Inside there is a pool of turquoise water. Around the pool and the building are full of almond trees that bloom in full splendor and grace.

Ayalon Reservoir
The last point for the day of the trip that centers so much beauty of blossoming almond trees. A third and final recommendation before returning home is the Ayalon reservoir. About half an hour's drive from the previous point. This is a seasonal winter water reservoir. which in the winter months is filled with a lot of water. Right next to the reservoir there is a kind of beach with baked stones on which almond trees are blooming. But the real beauty is in the spot and the path that overlooks the reservoir from above.
It is a beautiful hiking trail that descends from the top of the forest down to the reservoir. On the way there are lots of bright white blossoming almond trees. that really light the way. The almond blossom here is one of the most beautiful almond blossom sites in Israel.

After entering the forest, you have to drive on a dirt road that surrounds it in the form of a ring. Drive until you see the reservoir in front of you, park the car and go down to the observation point.
